Insurance service by our in house valuer – Is your jewellery adequately insured? Our independent valuer has over 38 years experience and can offer a comprehensive valuation schedule on all jewellery, silverware, watches and regalia. This will help you to claim if you have the misfortune to lose or damage any jewellery and any inheritance tax assessment. Our valuation schedules contain information on an item’s shape, material, size, age and monetary value. Please check with your insurance company for the single article limit they require to be listed. Generally items under £1,000 are not required to be listed and will be shown as total value and in abbreviated form.

Probate valuation – A valuation for probate establishes the value of a deceased person’s estate. The value is based on the price which the jewellery is likely to be sold for at auction. The sum will be less than a valuation for insurance at current labour, because only the current market situation is taken into account, not the labour, materials and taxation costs.
